Huge and dynamic “in-your-face” colourfull explosion of eye bursting awesomness. Love the pixel arts, the dithered palette, the cube, the fast paced smoothness of quite frankly everything. don’t have time to get bored and all scrolltexts are actually easy to read. Music was a nod to Batman Begins at some points and hope this demo will have the same destiny. Thumbs and dick up !!!

Good one.. Jocking. I didn’t read the nfo before running it, just I saw that incredible screenshot, I say myself, go find a CPC, select that new logo with CRTC 1 and make a coffee. All this colorfull demo in perfect fullscreen on the CTM-644-2 just amaze. The music as well, I loved the whistle part a lot.. Fantastic demo. Did you saw that plasma?? CPC FUCKING RULEZ!!

A big amount of work and effects. Nothing to say more about the technical level, it was what I excepted from No Recess! Huge progress in CRTC’s technics! Great making-of writeup! Got me inspired to create some data-streaming/unpacking algorithm in our Amiga “demo system”. Putting 64 MB RAM in the Amiga 1200 is becoming more common nowadays. Still it feels a bit lame to use that much memory when it could be avoided.

I’m having real trouble getting this to run on a real CPC 6128 (non-plus). Using flashfloppy v3.16 on a gotek as drive A or B with either the HFE or DSK image all I get is a black screen, the OLED display on the gotek says track 0, side 0. The HFE image of Phortem works OK, except for minor music delays when reading the disk. Batman Forever runs just fine too. I have no expansion hardware other than the gotek plugged into the external FDD port, and all the RAM tests good. Does anyone have any ideas for troubleshooting? I’d really like to get this working on real hw.
